History

One fine day, an aspiring game dev sought legal advice prior to putting his first game up for sale on Steam. The kindly entertainment lawyer was like, "Bro, do it under an LLC." The game dev heeded the man's words and filed G-Bean Studios LLC later that day.

G-Bean Studios is a small creative space in Portland, Oregon. Outside of game-dev, the studio has been used for music, film, and physical art.

Why "G-Bean"?

 My cat’s name is Gus. He’s an old man-cat. As you may know, things repeated frequently will evolve and weather away to their truest form. Through his nineteen years with me, “Gus” has gone from “Goose” to “Gooby” to “Gooby-Bean” to “G-Bean.”

 I liked the sound about as much as I like my cat so the name stuck.
